Remote Access (RCC)

Remote Control and Connect (RCC) by digiBandit lets you securely access your work computer from anywhere. Whether you're working from home, traveling, or just need to grab a file, RCC gives you full access to your office desktop.

What is RCC?

RCC is a remote desktop tool that lets you see and control your work computer from another device. Think of it as bringing your office computer home with you.

  • Access your office desktop from anywhere
  • Transfer files between computers
  • Use all your work applications remotely
  • Secure, encrypted connections through our private servers

Getting Started

1. Check your email

Look for an invitation email from rcc@dbits.ca. This contains a link to create your account. If you don't see it, check your spam folder or contact us.

2. Create your account

Click the link in the email and set a password. Then log in at rcc.dbits.ca.

3. Install on your work computer

Download the installer from: rcc.dbits.ca/download/rcc-by-dbits.msi

Run the installer and follow the prompts. Note the Device ID shown on the main screen.

4. Set a permanent password

This is the password you'll use to connect remotely:

  1. Open RCC on your work computer
  2. Click the three dots (...) next to your ID
  3. Click Security
  4. Set a permanent password and click Apply

5. Install on your home computer

Download and install the same file on your home or laptop computer. Log in with your account credentials.

6. Connect

Open the Address Book in the RCC app on your home computer. Your work computer should appear. Double-click it and enter your permanent password.

Important Notes

  • Your work computer must be powered on and connected to the internet to connect
  • Your permanent password (set in Security settings) is different from your account password
  • Ignore the "one time password" on the main screen. Always use your permanent password
  • RCC runs automatically in the background after installation

Troubleshooting

Can't connect?

  • Make sure your work computer is on and online
  • Check you're using your permanent password (not the one-time password)
  • Make sure you're logged into your RCC account on your home computer

Need the installer? Download from rcc.dbits.ca/download/rcc-by-dbits.msi

Antivirus blocking RCC? Remote access tools sometimes trigger security alerts. Contact us and we'll help whitelist it.

Forgot your password? Go to your work computer, open RCC, click the three dots > Security, and set a new one.
