We build your IT. Then we run it.
What is blueBox?
blueBox is a turnkey IT build. We spec the hardware, build the server, set it up in your office, configure everything your team needs, and then manage it going forward. One company does the whole job.
The size of the build depends on your business. A 5-person office gets a different setup than a 30-person operation with multiple sites. We scope it to what you actually need, and you own everything we install.
What Gets Built
The Core: Your Infrastructure
- On-site server that you own - not a shared cloud VM
- File sharing with proper access controls
- Daily backups with encrypted off-site copies
- Secure remote access for your team
- Redundant storage so a dead drive doesn't kill your day
- User accounts and permissions set up for your team
- Network configured, documented, and handed over clean
Once the build is done, we take over day-to-day management: monitoring, security, support, patching, backups. Same service we run for all our managed IT clients.
Optional Extras
Custom Website - A real website built for your business. Custom design, search optimization, contact forms that work, and analytics. Hosted on your infrastructure, managed by us. Most clients add this during the initial build.
Business Tools (BOOM) - Invoicing, quoting, client tracking, scheduling, asset management, and reporting. Your own branded system with a client portal. No per-seat software fees. Added when you're ready.
Pricing
Every build is different. We quote after a free consultation based on your actual needs.
The Build (One-Time)
Custom quoted. Covers server hardware, on-site installation, network setup, and any extras (website, business tools). Scoped to your business. You own everything we install.
Ongoing Management (Monthly)
Priced by the number of devices, users, and sites we manage. Same managed IT service we run for all our clients, bundled in. See Managed IT for details on what's included.

Common Questions
What size business is this for? 5 to 50 employees. Works for most industries - transportation, construction, trades, professional services, retail. We don't do healthcare or legal where there's heavy compliance requirements.
Do I need the website and business tools too? No. The core is the infrastructure build and management. Website and business tools are extras you can add during setup or later.
Do I need new computers? Probably not. We look at what you have and only suggest replacing machines that genuinely can't keep up.
What about QuickBooks / Office 365 / etc? We don't rip out what's working. Your existing software stays. We fill in the gaps around it.
Contract? The build is paid upfront (or in installments). The ongoing management is a 12-month term, billed monthly, price locked. 90 days notice to cancel, no penalties. The hardware is yours either way.
On-site visits? $90 per visit plus mileage over 50km. Most stuff gets handled remotely.
What happens if we part ways? You get everything. Documentation, passwords, files, the works. The server is yours. The website is yours. Clean handoff, no games.
