# Notifications on UNV-Link
# How to turn on the notifications from the NVR:
## How to Turn On Notifications from the NVR
Open the UNV-Link Application.
1. Open the **UNV-Link** app
2. From the home screen, tap the **play button** at the top of your device
3. Go to the **settings** of your device
4. Select your device (e.g., "My device") from the list
5. In the device settings, tap **Allow Alarm Notification**
6. Enable alarms from the device
7. Allow notifications on your phone when prompted. If the app doesn't have permission to send notifications, you may see a system pop-up requesting permission. You must grant this for notifications to work.
8. Turn on **Report Snapshot** to see a preview image from the camera with each notification
You will see the home page screen:
---
Choose the play button on the top of your device as shown in the picture.
## How to Manage the Notification Schedule

4. Select your device from the list
5. Tap **Allow Alarm Notification**
6. Tap **Notification Schedule**
7. Toggle the slider to **On**
8. Set your schedule using 24-hour time format. For example, to receive notifications from 6 PM to 6 AM, set:
- Period 1: 00:00 - 06:00
- Period 2: 18:00 - 23:59
9. Configure the repeat days below the time periods
Choose the “My device” (the name could be different) that is first on the list:
---
In the settings of the Device (NVR), choose Allow Alarm Notification:
## How to Manage Notification Types
Allow Alarms from the Device first:
1. Open the **UNV-Link** app
2. From the home screen, tap the **Message** button on the bottom bar
3. Tap the **settings button** in the top right corner
4. You will see the full list of available notification types
5. Disable **motion detection** notifications. These trigger constantly if there are trees or anything moving in the camera's field of view.
6. Enable **Intrusion Detection** (recommended). This provides useful alerts without the noise of motion detection.
7. Tap **Save**
Now allow the notifications on your Phone. (If the app doesnt have permission to send notifications, you may see a pop-up that gives permission to the application first. You are required to receive the notification from the system!!! ):
---
Report snapshot should be turned on to see the preview image from the camera.

Choose the Message button on the bottom bar as shown in the picture:
Shoes the setting button on the top right corner as in the image:
You will see the complete list of notifications; you may choose what notifications are important for you.
Remove motion notifications; otherwise, you will receive too many notifications almost every second if you have any trees or anything moving inside the camera view. (Recommended notification is intrusion):
After selecting all notifications, you are going to see everything is unchecked. Choose intrusion detection and hit save:
